加拿大研究生留學(xué)如何搞定這些很繞的GRE數(shù)學(xué)題干

最近總能聽到有同學(xué)說，我就是數(shù)學(xué)專業(yè)的，可是我的數(shù)學(xué)并沒有滿分，我給數(shù)學(xué)專業(yè)丟臉了”。是的，這個事情很可能就發(fā)生在你的身邊。不管你是什么專業(yè)，其實從數(shù)學(xué)知識點的層面來看，只要你上完了我國的九年制義務(wù)教育，其實知識點啥的在消化了之后都不成問題。加拿大GRE

所以專業(yè)其實不重要，文科理科更不重要，那為什么你考GRE數(shù)學(xué)沒有滿分呢？因為有別的“事情”在等著你哦！看看下面的題干都讀得懂嗎？

謎題1.到底誰是誰的百分之多少？

先來看題，也可以自己選選答案哦！

Of the students in a school,20 percent are in the science club and 30 percent are in the band.If 25 percent of the students in the school are in the band but are not in the science club,what percent of the students who are in the science club are not in the band?

A.15%

B.20%

C.25%

D.60%

E.75%

這個題但凡是上過我課的同學(xué)一眼就能看出來坑在哪里，因為這個題的正確率實在太低了，屬于上課要重點敲黑板的問題。而這個坑，不在于不會做，就在于題干中的問題能不能讀明白，。

What percent of A is B這個表述的意思是B是A的百分之多少，需要用B除以A。

而該題目中的A是the students who are in the science club中的人，也就是20%的人，整個的問題在于求這20%的人中有百分之多少不在band中，根據(jù)Venn Diagram關(guān)系，只在science不在band的人占了15%，那么我們就需要用15%÷20%=3/4，也就是75%，所以E才是答案。學(xué)在加拿大

謎題2.究竟誰是誰的2倍？

還是先來上個題吧！

A certain group of workers contains twice as many men as women.The average(arithmetic mean)weight of the men in the group is 172 pounds,and the average weight of all the workers in the group is 154 pounds.

Quantity A:The average weight of the women in the group

Quantity B:120 pounds

A.Quantity A is greater.

B.Quantity B is greater.

C.The two quantities are equal.

D.The relationship cannot be determined from the information given.

這是個很簡單的求平均數(shù)的問題，不過第一句話到底怎么理解？men是women的2倍？還是women是men的2倍？

原來英語老師教的格式是A is twice as many as B，這叫做A是B的2倍，但是對于twice as many men as women的表述，只需要記住前面的是后面的2倍就好了，也就是men是women的2倍，女性設(shè)為x人，平均數(shù)為m，則男性就是2x人。

然后就可以列式子154=(172*2x+xm)/3x，x約分掉之后可以求得m=118，顯而易見120更大一些，選擇B，以后碰到倍數(shù)問題要能搞清楚哦！
