加拿大研究生留學長難句是GRE 的閱讀和填空題中比較常見的難點，長難句的“難”也合情合理，即一個句子復雜就復雜在詞匯量大、信息復雜。GRE閱讀

通用法則1：杜絕逐字逐句翻譯

【問題剖析】大家一定要明白，GRE面向的考生，不是剛剛開始學習英語這門語言的同學，而是即將升入研究生階段的成人群體。因此，生翻通翻是出題者最不希望看到的現(xiàn)象，因為這意味著考生還在剛剛接觸這門語言的階段掙扎，還不能把握語境的整體性與情景性。

而反觀我們許多同學做題的模式，不論是GRE填空還是閱讀，都是要把整體翻譯變成一個中文的語境，運用帶入的方式來做題。這樣做對于填空來說最大的問題是找不到細節(jié)信息的對應，或者出現(xiàn)腦補的問題，對于閱讀來說則是無法提取關(guān)鍵信息，做題又慢又茫然。

【解決方案】學會通過提取一個句子中的語法主干成分，如主謂賓、主系表等，將句子簡化為核心結(jié)構(gòu)，抓住句子成分之間的關(guān)系，再根據(jù)干擾選項排查無關(guān)或錯誤信息。

例如如下真題中，我們應先提取冒號后面讓步轉(zhuǎn)折的主句，也就是轉(zhuǎn)折部分，抓住整句核心要表達的是錯在某種不足或局限，從而避開聯(lián)動關(guān)系帶來的干擾性。

通用法則2：使用排除法

【問題剖析】無論是填空還是閱讀，出題的形式都是以選擇題為核心，只是有的是單選，有的是多選，有的是5個備選選項，有的是3個或者6個，還可能出現(xiàn)直接選取文中句子的形式。不論具體是什么題型，只要是選擇題，出題者就必定會按照一定的原則來設(shè)定錯誤選項，不會胡出亂出。

因此，大家在做題的時候，就要多觀察錯誤選項的思路，當你有一定的熟練程度，即使你不知道正確答案應該是什么具體的內(nèi)容，也可以通過排除掉典型的錯誤選項來縮小可選的范圍，從而提高正確率。

【解決方案】直白來說，吸取有經(jīng)驗老師的總結(jié)，就是更為高效的方式。

對于大部分同學來說，你們的時間精力有限，加上經(jīng)驗不足，如果刷題的同時自己去總結(jié)，效率很可能不盡人意。而GRE經(jīng)過這么多年的演變，已經(jīng)成為一個相對成熟的考試，這其中的規(guī)律與模式，對于大家的提分是非常有效的。比如常說的閱讀長短文章四大典型錯誤設(shè)置、邏輯單題四大典型錯誤設(shè)置，填空腦補的干擾選項、過程變量的干擾選項、程度不明的干擾選項等，就是大家可以直接拿來應用的有力工具。

The revival of mural painting that has occurred in San Francisco since the 1970s, especially among the Chicano population of the city’s Mission District, has marked differences from its social realist forerunner in Mexico and the United States some 40 years earlier. Rather than being government sponsored and limited to murals on government buildings, the contemporary mural movement sprang from the people themselves, with murals appearing on community buildings and throughout college campuses.
