加拿大英語考試托福學(xué)會這些技巧輕松搞定態(tài)度類聽力題

眾所周知，托福聽力喜歡考察speaker的emotion or attitude。簡單來說，就是考察：

1.speaker對于他人所言的直觀感受

比如，feel surprised ；feel intriguing ；feel worried等；

2.speaker對于他人所言的回應(yīng)：

比如，agree with；給出具體回答等
而同學(xué)們在做這類題時，大多都是通過“speaker語氣起伏”來直觀判斷的。比如：

1.speaker的語氣充滿了驚訝：uh？？？
2.speaker的語氣里充滿的懷疑：do you？？？
3.speaker的音量升高

但是，所有的態(tài)度類考點信號都是從“語音語調(diào)變化”里出來的嗎？當然不是，今天我們就來講一講不屬于語音語調(diào)變化類型的情感態(tài)度類考題，我們應(yīng)該在文章如何預(yù)判這類考點？托?？荚?/a>

簡化一下這里的邏輯關(guān)系，請大家?guī)臀蚁胂耄旅孢@個結(jié)構(gòu)當中的sth應(yīng)該偏向于什么意思？

I loved math nights + I didn't have a problem with math
Did my parents enjoy it？But + sth

可以推出，Sth約等于My parents didn’t enjoy math nights as me

所以，我們做題時，應(yīng)該往相應(yīng)的情感色彩上去選，排除D，因為父母并不應(yīng)該show much interest。并且，不應(yīng)該選到“sports-運動”這一本意。因為上下文均沒有講到運動相關(guān)話題，所以這里的sports不是本意，而是在一個詞組中的固定搭配，因此排除A和C。最終選擇是B。

最后我們來積累一個新表達：Someone is a good sport：
Someone to be good-natured or amiable despite unpleasant circumstances

結(jié)合context，父母可能并不enjoy這類活動，卻陪著她參加：為了自己女兒才參加的這類活動。

總結(jié)：回想重聽句所在的context，通過but/however/yet推斷情感傾向。

通過result判定

分析：

why don’t you tell me是個問句，單從問句出發(fā)，可以有很多種解讀，沒辦法下結(jié)論。

要弄清楚“提問人的intention”，首先需要回憶起這個問題前面是什么，也就是學(xué)生的問題：So, what happened? I mean, why don't we still do this now? 學(xué)生提出問題后，教授反問，意思偏向“應(yīng)該由你來告訴我答案”。

再往后，教授一步一步提問：學(xué)生：為什么現(xiàn)在的人們，不像過去那樣，晚上睡兩次呢？

教授：What are some major differences between life in, say, 17th century, England and life here now?

學(xué)生：我不會像過去的人那樣，睡那么早

教授：But don't you ever start to feel tired around dusk? Darkness is one of the biological triggers of sleep which will get into a little later.

學(xué)生：會困的，但是室內(nèi)并不昏暗。Oh, that's it. They didn't have electric lights back then.他們那個時候沒有照明。（過去沒有照明，所以會在黃昏時困，因此要睡兩次；現(xiàn)在有照明，不會在黃昏時刻犯困，因此只要睡一次）

由此，在教授的一步步提問下，學(xué)生自己得出了答案。從最終結(jié)果，反推出教授說“why don’t you tell me”的目的是：在啟發(fā)學(xué)生，鼓勵學(xué)生多想想，選擇B選項。

總結(jié)：重聽題為“提問”時，可以回憶一下這個提問的result，從result來反推question目的。
