　　The School of Population and Public Health(SPPH)is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow(PDF)for a 1-year term.The Postdoctoral Fellow will work both at the Vaccine Evaluation Center,BC Children's Hospital Research Institute,and with the Global Control of HPV Related Diseases research team at Women's Health Research Institute.The projects will be centred around reduced dosing for the HPV vaccine and other long-term evaluations of HPV vaccination.The PDF will work under the supervision of Dr.Gina Ogilvie and Dr.Manish Sadarangani.

　　Housed within the Faculty of Medicine,the School of Population and Public Health(SPPH)is an innovative unit that encompasses many of the health-related groupings at UBC as a collaborative venture.The School is structured around four divisions:Occupational and Environmental Health;Health Services and Policy;Epidemiology,Biostatistics and Public Health Practice;and Health in Populations.The resulting mix of professions and disciplines is seen as a means of connecting individuals and learners to galvanize the relationship between health research,public health and health services and to enhance learning.

　　The primary activities of the Postdoctoral Research Fellow include:

　　Evaluation of vaccine effectiveness of two-versus three-doses of HPV vaccine against HPV infections.Analysis will be performed by use of data from the QUEST study,which includes girls from all over Canada who have received two-or three-doses of the HPV vaccine.

　　Evaluation of effectiveness of reduced dosing schedules(example:one dose)against cervical(precursor)lesions.Data-linkage study between the cervical cancer screening linkage and vaccination registry and other registries

　　Evaluation of effectiveness of reduced dosing schedules against genital warts.Data from STI clinics will be used to calculate the effectiveness of reduced dosing schedules against genital warts.

　　Systematic literature review.In this review we will explore the ultimate timing of the second dose in a two-dose HPV vaccination schedule.

　　QUALIFICATIONS&EXPERIENCE

　　Completion of a PhD in a relevant discipline(epidemiology and/or biostatistics,public health,or a related quantitative discipline).

　　Candidates with experience and training related to longitudinal data-analysis,natural history of HPV,(HPV)vaccines,HPV vaccine research.A background or knowledge in cervical cancer screening would be an asset. 不列顛哥倫比亞大學(xué)
